Aftershock

So Huckabee took Iowa, Romney took Wyoming, McCain took New Hampshire...ya da ya da, you've probably heard it all by now if you didn't catch it last night...

Oh and apparently, Barak did not get the win this time as he did in Iowa. Although one must concede that although Hillary did win New Hampshire it was a close race last night and really between Iowa and New Hampshire Hillary and Barak have canceled each other out....at least Edwards is toast and the Dems are really down to two contenders....

As for the Republicans, this morning Sen. Rick Santorum (R-PA) released a statement that was repeated by Fox News saying that he also thinks the party may not come up with a good candidate until the actual convention. This is an idea that was first discussed by Dave Freddoso over at National Review before Christmas....and it may turn out to not just be a Black Helicopter theory.

Ooooh, ugh. That is so not a fun thought, but when one looks at all the Republican contenders it is true that no one person really has it all. And it is possible that none of them will really have the nod by Super Tuesday in February.

As things have started out now it seems even less likely with no consensus coming from the two major states of Iowa and New Hampshire. This blogger says it's okay, and then....well maybe not.

See here is the problem with all the different R candidates pulling voters from the base (a base which feels disenfranchised): they keep the party from developing a uniform ground swell for the actual election. It's a disturbing thought.

It's all well and fine for the individual but how will the party fair against a candidate like Barak or Hillary who has had more uniform support?

Ooh and Ron Paul is being allowed to play in the adult sand box again.
