Blue State was founded in 2004 by four former members of Howard Dean's Presidential campaign. Other firms were already selling software to help candidates raise money online. But Thomas Gensemer, a former venture capitalist who, at 31, is now Blue State's managing partner, says he and his associates wanted to use such tools to mobilize grassroots support for progressive candidates, causes, or products.

It's the Friday Fry Up, and it's rainy and icky here...so not much to be said....

Last week this blogger met the local limited government candidate who is trying to run against Jim Moran. Amit Singh, you can check out his website at www.Amit08.com. The Republican primary is going to happen very soon between Mark Ellmore and Singh. It will probably really be of little interest since in the end Jim Moran has been in office for a long time and doesn't seem to be going anywhere...The best shot the Republicans had of getting him out of office was years ago in 2002-2003 when he was caught swearing in public and making anti semitic statements. Or maybe it was when the Congressman got caught fighting with a prostitute in the streets of Arlington one night...a few years ago...but no one seems to care now...

Anyways....

This week, there will not be much of a Fry Up, we are just frying one issue that pertains to Arlington, VA. Amit has been endorsed by one of the Presidential candidates that is often covered still here at Polireport.

Here is the email from the Singh campaign:

May 7, 2008

It seems that each time I say to a supporter, "Last week was the busiest week of the campaign," the following week outdoes it! There has been a flurry of endorsements, donations, and voter outreach taking place for our Campaign in Virginia's 8th District. The amount of press and media coverage we've received has been absolutely outstanding.

Recently we received the endorsement of Congressman and Presidential Candidate Ron Paul. Dr. Paul was even gracious enough to meet with myself and some members from my campaign team and film a piece of him and I outside of the U.S. Capitol. Take a look at it here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J6LbXZOUtVA.
It was an honor to accept the endorsement of not only a Presidential Candidate, but a true believer in limited government, fiscal responsibility, and personal freedom. We continue to receive coverage from numerous media and press contacts within the district and its come from a wide array of media.

Everything from local blogger Leslie Carbone: http://lesliecarbone.blogspot.com/2008/05/amit-singh-for-virginia-8.html

To nationally recognized magazines such as the American Conservative. They just released a story about the campaign, both online and in print. Take a look at the article here:
http://www.amconmag.com/2008/2008_04_21/article2.html

I need your continued help and support to reach the people of Virginia's 8th District. This Saturday, May 10th, the Arlington Neighborhood Day Parade will take place. Right in the thick of the parade will be our campaign and many of our supporters. Supporters of limited government and fiscal responsibility will be meeting up in Arlington on Saturday Morning to march in the parade behind the Amit '08 banner.

We are looking to get out as many supporters as possible to the parade to show the people of Arlington that our campaign has the tremendous support that I know it does. We will be meeting at 15th St at North Court House Road in Arlington. This is right near the Court House metro station on the Orange Line.

Please show up at 11:30 am sharp, Row D, group #46. We will have materials and campaign literature for you as well. Just look for your fellow supporters of this campaign. We will be easy to find, trust me!

Things continue to happen at a tremendous pace, and it is important we continue to make things happen at the rate it is. When it comes to my opponent we must continue to push forward so that voters throughout Arlington, Alexandria, Falls Church, and Fairfax see the stark contrast between us.

I am looking to bring limited government and lower taxes to the district while my opponent wants to expand government programs such as medicare and other social welfare programs

I believe in a strong national defense and putting forth sound solutions when it comes to foreign policy and respect for our soldiers, while my opponent continues to propose empty slogans that do nothing to strengthen our nation's security.

I believe that a Congressman should have a plan for helping the people in their district and should be ready on day one. Compare that to my opponent, who when asked what would be the first piece of legislation he would propose if elected, responded he, "hadn't given it any thought."
Thank you to everyone so far as we continue to bring our message to Virginia's 8th District. Please go to www.Amit08.com and keep up to date on the campaign. Please donate to our cause so we can bring this message to people throughout Arlington, Alexandria, Falls Church, and Fairfax.

I look forward to seeing you all at the Arlington Day Parade this Saturday, at 11:30am near the Court House metro. I promise to keep up this pace for as long as I have dedicated supporters like you. Thank you.

- Amit

That is hard to believe since Hillary should have dropped out at least twice by now, once when Obama won so many important states to start and again when she got caught in the Bosnia lie. Well..there is also the Bill factor, can she quit and hand it over to someone else when she has made it so clear that she has sacrificed everything herself and cannot stand for anyone else to have what she has paid so dearly for in her raging codependent relationship with Bill.....

This brings to mind, then who will McCain pick for V.P.?

Last week this blogger was appalled to hear a local women spouting on the DC metro that the military is now letting known pedophiles into the military. It was an obvious lie, based on the recent news that the military was granting more moral waivers to get recruits. That means they are allowing people who have records that involve minor felonies like traffic violations for example, which are a common felony in the state of Virginia, to join the military.

Of course since we are in a time when people who support Obama, and she was an Obama supporter, don't want more people to join the military..that leaves only one interpretation of the news which is just offensive to hear but to these anti war types it comes out as the military allowing the most loathsome people on the planet-CHILD MOLESTORS-into the military.

It's just gross, it's a nasty, gossip lie, especially to the ears of this blogger who knows and has been friends with many people in the military. Sure, the military is full of lots of types of people, they are people, you know...and not perfect. The officer and a gentleman bit is not usually true...but that doesn't excuse anyone who makes up such gross statements about people who serve and protect this country.

Anyways.

And just in case you were feeling blue, try being the DC Madam getting in trouble and then committing suicide...

It's Friday, you don't need to be told that, it's the Fry Up, but, we are just frying one or two thoughts today..because this blogger is moving apartments.

The New York Times has decided that Hillary Clinton might actually have a chance, because Obama has had a bad month with Reverand Wright making it so clear he doesn't really want a black President and all...Pennylvania, Indiana as if those states really mattered..because if this were a fair race, if the Democrats were like the Republicans at all, they would have made Hillary quit. Hillary made it clear though that she would not be doing that when she stuck to running despite Bill's antics and despite being caught as a liar about her Bosnia trip. People, she is with it to the bitter end, and if she can't have it, no one can....it's like the movie 'Single White Female' except she is not single and young and...heh. The movie should be called 'Raging Codependent White Female' in reference to her relationship with Bill and the way she treats people.

So here is the New York Times Article.
And one must go off the topic of course on a Friday with the dismal money making of Hollywood gone Hollyweird with it's focus on the Bush Administration and Hollywood's own self created misery. Ron Paul Nevada Delegates Voted to National Convention before Recess

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: Jesse Benton

April 30, 2008 703-248-9115

RENO, NEVADA — The Nevada State Republican Convention was called to an abrupt halt on Saturday, after delegates supporting Texas Congressman and presidential candidate Ron Paul were elected to the 2008 Republican National Convention.

Prior to the recess, the John McCain campaign asked for and was not granted a recess to meet with their delegates. In response, Convention Chairman Bob Beers unexpectedly announced that the contract on the convention hall had expired and the convention would be reconvened at some future date. The Ron Paul campaign is confident that the Nevada State Republican Party will ensure that the votes cast by of all of the delegates at the April 26th Nevada State Republican Convention will be respected.

By the time of the recess, voting for three national delegates from Congressional District 1 and from Congressional District 3 apiece had been completed. Beers himself read off the ballots for Congressional District 1 which resulted in the election of Senator John Ensign, Danny Tarkhenian, and Chris Dyer as national delegates. Dave Gibbs, member of the Clark County GOP Executive Board who also observed the vote counting, shook Dyer’s hand and congratulated him on his election. Dyer is a committed Paul supporter.

In Congressional District 3, Ron Paul supporters Arden Osborne, Carl Bunce, and Elizabeth BelCastro were elected, followed by Bruce Woodbury, the County Commissioner for Clark County. State Senator Barbara Cegavske, a candidate for national delegation in her Congressional District, initialed the credential badges of state delegates as they cast their votes and observed the vote counting.

In Congressional District 2, Congressman Dean Heller was in the lead, followed closely by Paul supporters Robert Terhune, Pat Kerby, and Marla Criss. When the count was halted, the remaining (approximately 50%) of the uncounted ballots were placed into seven sealed envelopes, signed by supporters of both John McCain and Ron Paul, and deposited in a safe at the Peppermill Casino in Reno. The Ron Paul campaign obtained Xerox copies of the signatures and drivers licenses of those who signed the sealed envelopes and deposited them in the safe.

Ron Paul Endorses Peter James for Congress

Today, presidential candidate Ron Paul annouced his endorsment of Peter James for Maryland's 4th Congressional District Race.

"Peter James is our Republican candidate in Maryland's 4th Congressional District. Peter faces a special election on June 17, which provides a unique opportunity for us to pick up this seat. There will likely be low voter turn out, so it is absolutely essential that Republicans, and liberty-loving independents and Democrats, go out to vote for Peter. Time is short and this election is rapidly approaching, please do what you can to help Peter today."

-- Ron Paul

James has received the Montgomery County Republican Central Committee's endorsement and hopes to receive both the Prince George's endorsement and the Maryland Republican Central Committe's nomination in the next few days.

James said, "When elected on June 17th, I will be the first Ron Paul Republican to take office beside Dr. Paul. The revolution has just begun."

Friday Fry Up. The weather is nice and the day is somewhat bland.

Troubles in NYC over a shooting and the court's decision.

In his closing arguments, prosecutor Charles Testagrossa alluded to the starkly different views of the shooting.

"If you are a police officer or sympathetic to police officers, the defendants are tragic heroes and the victims are thugs," he said. "If you are friends of the victims, then the defendants are murderers."

None of the officers took the witness stand in his own defense.

      Hmmm.

Well, Peggny Noonan has put out a new article that comments on our lives in the airport and the political stage.

So: Pennsylvania. As seen from the distance of West Texas, central California and Oklahoma, which is where I've been.

Main thought. Hillary Clinton is not Barack Obama's problem. America is Mr. Obama's problem. He has been tagged as a snooty lefty, as the glamorous, ambivalent candidate from Men's Vogue, the candidate who loves America because of the great progress it has made in terms of racial fairness. Fine, good. But has he ever gotten misty-eyed over . . . the Wright Brothers and what kind of country allowed them to go off on their own and change everything? How about D-Day, or George Washington, or Henry Ford, or the losers and brigands who flocked to Sutter's Mill, who pushed their way west because there was gold in them thar hills? There's gold in that history.

John McCain carries it in his bones. Mr. McCain learned it in school, in the Naval Academy, and, literally, at grandpa's knee. Mrs. Clinton learned at least its importance in her long slog through Arkansas, circa 1977-92.

It's just annoying to constantly hear liberals talk about how bad the economy is when in fact, the economy is better than it was under Clinton. Granted! It is not as good as the extreme abnormal highs we endured in the 90's before the dot com bubble burst.
But, we were told that it would not last and that it was abnormal, even top analysts today at OMB admit that Clinton was not responsible for the good times, in fact those were probably a result of work that George Bush did in the early 90's.
Now, oil prices! That is something to worry about.
Or did you not know that the budgets are set for years in advance of a President? In fact the recession we dealt with in 2001 was starting before 9/11 and a result of Clinton's presidency. But one must suppose that does not matter when dealing with emotional Democrats.

So one might ask themselves, does this mean Hillary is going to keep going? Uh, yes. Would she have kept going if she had lost? Uh, yes. Does it matter that she only won by a slight amount? Uh, no. Why? Because Hillary was going to keep running whether she won by a lot, a little or lost.
